This award recognizes and promotes research and writing that has had a significant impact and advances the body of knowledge regarding operational excellence. The Shingo Institute is most interested in recognizing thought leadership.
Submissions are assessed based on the following criteria:
Content – contributes new operational excellence knowledge, or significantly extends and supports existing operational excellence knowledge
Significant Impact – documented by the number and quality of citations in scholarly literature (excluding self-citation), reviews in specific relevant journals, or business performance improvements. The submission’s actual impact is an important element of the assessment criteria; therefore, research may not be eligible if appropriate documentation of impact is not provided.
